Move to China

Can you speak Chinese?

If your answer is no, it really doesn’t matter if you want to teach English in China.

Although the Chinese economy has seen better years and is far from record-breaking double-digit growth days, it is still the world’s second-largest economy and probably will eventually be number one in our lifetime. This news might be sad for some but it is great news for persons who want to teach English.

Americans in China

Though China welcomes English teachers from all over the world, they do not hide their bias for Americans. It is not uncommon to see jobs posted with posts asking for Americans.

This is great news for Americans this is especially good due to the fact that the market for English teachers and material will only continue to grow as the Chinese economy does. It is estimated that the market has doubled in size since the year 2010 and is now worth about US $3 billion.
